Zachary Smith and the Dixie Power Trio

Chuck Underwood has been in demand as a guitarist for more than twenty-five years, performing and recording with some of Washington, DC's most respected musicians including Marshall Keys, Ron Holloway, and Scott Ambush. Chuck has performed as guest soloist with the National Symphony, and as a member of Patti Labelle's touring band appeared on the Tonight Show, Showtime at the Apollo, and venues worldwide. Chuck has also worked with artists as diverse as James Brown, Greg Karukus, Lester Bowie and Dennis Chambers. Currently Chuck records and performs with his own group, produces projects at Red Door Studios, and keeps busy teaching jazz guitar throughout the area, and as part of the adjunct music faculty at the Landon School in Bethesda Md. The Washington Area Music Association nominated Chuck as Best Jazz Instrumentalist 4 times.
